What is the difference between sheers and curtains?
Sheers are lightweight translucent fabrics that filter light and screen the view while keeping the room bright; curtains are heavier and control light more firmly, up to full blockout. Many rooms use both on one track or pair a sheer with a blockout blind behind it.
Do sheer curtains give privacy at night?
By day, yes — from outside the fabric reads as a screen. After dark with lights on the balance flips, so bedrooms and street-facing rooms should layer a blockout curtain or blind behind the sheer, or use Veri Shades, which swing between sheer and private in one fabric.
What are Veri Shades?
