FAQs
How are motorised blinds powered?
Most run on rechargeable battery motors that install with no wiring and top up a couple of times a year, while new builds and renovations can hard-wire motors for a set-and-forget result. We will recommend the right power option window by window during the free measure.
Can my existing blinds be motorised?
Sometimes, depending on the blind and its hardware. Many ranges are best ordered with the motor built in, and some existing blinds can be upgraded. Bring the details to a showroom or book a free measure and we will confirm what your windows can do.
Can I control motorised blinds from my phone?
Yes. Alongside remotes and wall switches, hub-connected systems add app control, daily timers and scenes, so the west-facing bank can drop before the afternoon heat and the whole home can open together in the morning.
What happens if the power goes out?
Battery-powered blinds keep working through an outage, and wired systems simply resume when power returns. Nothing is damaged by an outage; at most a wired blind waits where it is until the power is back.
