Gerflor Primetex collection
Gerflor Primetex is a residential sheet vinyl made in France, designed for a quick and easy room makeover. It comes in wide rolls so most rooms are covered without joins, and its recycled fibre backing lets it be laid adhesive free on most prepared subfloors, which keeps installation clean, fast and affordable. The current palette runs to fifteen designs: realistic timber planks from pale Timber Clear and Cognac Blond through honey and golden oaks to deep Cajou Grey, a chevron oak in Azay Brown, and stone, concrete and terrazzo looks in Dune, Gravel, Basal Haze and Bari Clear.
Underfoot, Primetex is a 2.0mm compact construction with a 0.25mm wear layer and Gerflor's Pureclean+ surface treatment, so it resists indentation, scuffs and stains and wipes clean with a damp mop. The patterned foam layer gives 15 dB of impact sound reduction and a softer, warmer feel than hard floors, and the surface is water resistant, making it a practical choice for kitchens, bathrooms and laundries as well as bedrooms and living areas. Primetex carries a ten year residential guarantee and is available through every Jupps showroom in Perth and regional WA.

Gerflor Primetex is currently available in 15 designs: Bari Clear 2407, Azay Brown 2347, Cognac Pearl 2006, Timber Clear 0720, Cognac Scandi 2350, Cognac Blond 2007, Timber Golden 2351, Timber Medium 0721, Cajou Honey 1236, Cajou Grey 1151, Dune White 1588, Dune Grey 1589, Gravel Grey 0712, Gravel Beige 0711, Basal Haze 2392. Every design is shown above, and Jupps can arrange physical samples of any of them. Gerflor notes that not all colours are stocked by every retailer, so check with your local Jupps showroom for what is on the floor.
Yes. Primetex is a water resistant sheet vinyl, and because it comes in 4m wide rolls most bathrooms, kitchens and laundries can be covered in a single piece with no joins for water to reach. It is one of the most practical floors for a busy family wet area. As with any floor, standing water should be wiped up and the subfloor needs to be sound and dry before installation.
Not usually. Gerflor's fibre backing allows Primetex to be laid adhesive free on most subfloors in rooms up to about 25m2, which means no glue smell, less mess and a faster install. Larger rooms, heavy traffic areas or certain subfloors may call for a full adhesive install. Either way, the subfloor must be prepared to Australian Standards, and your Jupps installer will advise which method suits your room.
Primetex is Gerflor's value for money residential roll, sitting below the premium Texline range. It shares the same design realism and easy care Pureclean+ surface, with a 2.0mm build, 0.25mm wear layer and ten year residential guarantee. If you want a heavier wear layer or a longer warranty for a very busy home, ask your Jupps consultant about Texline or a vinyl plank alternative.
Sweep or vacuum regularly and mop with a damp mop and a neutral pH cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads, solvent based cleaners and steam mops. Use felt pads under furniture legs and mats at external doors to keep grit off the surface, and the Pureclean+ finish will keep the floor looking new for years.
