Industrial Metal at an Architectural Scale
Kerlite Metal brings the drama of oxidised and brushed metal to Cotto d’Este’s reinforced slim porcelain, on sheets of 997 x 3000mm at just 5.5mm thick. Corten delivers the warm rusted patina of weathering steel, while Iron runs cooler and darker with a raw industrial depth.
Because the sheets are fibreglass-reinforced and remarkably light for their size, they suit feature walls, joinery fronts and renovation cladding where real steel would be heavy, cold and costly, and unlike real corten, the patina never transfers or runs.

FAQs
What is the difference between Corten and Iron?
Corten recreates the warm orange-brown patina of weathering steel, rich and rustic. Iron is cooler and darker, closer to raw blackened steel. Both share the same sheet format and finish, so they can even be combined in one design.
Where can Kerlite Metal be used?
It excels on feature walls, fireplace surrounds, joinery and cabinetry fronts, and renovation cladding over suitable existing surfaces. For floors or wet areas, talk to our team about the right Kerlite product and preparation for the job.
Does the corten look behave like real corten steel?
Visually yes, practically no, and that is the advantage. Real weathering steel continues to oxidise and can stain adjoining surfaces as it runs. The porcelain version holds its patina permanently, never bleeds, and cleans with a damp cloth.
