Scenic Rim by NFD brings genuine European oak into a 12mm engineered build with a 1.2mm real timber veneer and brushed surface. Eight colours move from light Pale and Milky Oak through warm Almond, Danish and Harvest Oak to characterful Vintage and deep Mocha Oak.

How does Scenic Rim compare to NFD Eternity and Daintree?
All three are NFD engineered timber. Scenic Rim is the accessible entry point: European oak with a 1.2mm veneer in a 12mm build. Eternity is the premium European oak option with a 3mm veneer at 14mm, allowing multiple recoats over its life. Daintree features Australian natives, Blackbutt, Spotted Gum and Tasmanian Oak, with a 2mm veneer at 15mm.
What does the veneer thickness affect?
The veneer is the genuine timber wear surface above the engineered core. A thicker veneer allows more sanding and recoating over the floor life. At 1.2mm, Scenic Rim is designed to be lived on and enjoyed rather than repeatedly refinished, which is reflected in its price positioning.
Is engineered timber suitable for wet areas?
Scenic Rim is real timber, so it should be treated like any quality wood floor: wipe up spills promptly and maintain a stable indoor environment. Engineered construction is significantly more dimensionally stable than solid timber, but timber floors are not recommended for bathrooms, laundries or other wet areas.
