Travertine in Two Tones, Cut Both Ways
Aeterna by Portobello celebrates travertine’s two personalities. Choose the linear strata of the vein cut or the soft clouding of the cross cut, each offered in a warm Avorio and a cooler Bianco, four expressions of one timeless stone.
Large square and rectangular formats carry the look across floors and walls, while the Cessellato decor piece adds a finely chiselled texture for feature moments, all in easy-care glazed porcelain.

FAQs
What is the difference between the Vein and Crosscut versions?
They reproduce the two ways travertine is sliced at the quarry. Vein cut shows the stone’s layers as strong parallel bands; cross cut reveals a softer, cloudier figuring. Aeterna offers both, in warm Avorio and cool Bianco.
Where can Aeterna be used?
It suits interior floors and walls in living areas, kitchens, hallways and feature walls. It carries a P2 slip rating, so for bathrooms, laundries or other areas with specific slip requirements, talk to our team about the right fit first.
How does it compare to real travertine?
Natural travertine is porous, needs its surface holes filled, and wants regular sealing. Aeterna keeps the Roman character in a sealed glazed porcelain face that resists staining and needs only routine cleaning.
